Our business
Fall Timber was established in 1977, by farmer Martyn Fall, as a diversification project. Over forty-five years later we’re proud to still operate as a family run, independent timber merchant. True to our core values – offering quality timber, at a competitive price, with excellent service to businesses and the public nationwide.
Whilst operating as a farmer, Martyn found a gap in the market and saw an opportunity to supply timber to the local agricultural and game rearing industries. He started out selling a few packs of plywood and grew the business for over forty years.
The business soon became Martyn’s main occupation and Fall Timber established itself as a supplier to agriculture, farm building and game rearing industries as well as serving domestic customers.
The next generation of Fall Timber
Fall Timber welcomed Martyn’s daughter, Helen and husband Matthew to the business as Directors in 2007. Being family-run is important to the essence of the business, so it was essential to have an experienced second generation passionate about taking the helm.
Fall Timber is proud to remain an independent merchant, focussed on quality, price and service. Retaining a keen focus on supplying the farming and agricultural sector is at the heart of the business.
